I know I haven’t been very consistent but my mind has been a tornado. I’ve really needed to have a proper think about what I want from this space and what it means to me.
I really don’t want this to be a space that feels whiney, that’s why I deleted my last post, it didn’t feel right to me, it didn’t set the tone that I wanted. As much as I want this to me space where I figure dealing with Bipolar I also want to use it as a place in which I explore my lifestyle or what I want my lifestyle to be. I absolutely love cosmetics and skin care it is such a big part of my self care routine along with exercise and diet. I want to share all of these things.
This blog may start out a little bit chaotic but I will find my groove. I’d also not push myself to write a post everyday because they will be shitty posts. I’d rather put in time and effort and write content that I’m proud of.
Over and out,
Beauty Bulletin and Tresemme South Africa were kind enough to send myself and a friend of my choosing a bottle of their latest product.
The product I am reviewing is Tresemme botanique nourish & replenish shampoo and conditioner with coconut milk and aloe vera. The product also boasts natural ingredients, lower sulphates along with being free from parabens dyes and silicone. It’s designed to provide car and moisturise Afro as well as Caucasian hair. This product is all about embracing natural, healthy hair. The shampoo and conditioner come in 750ml bottles and retail at R79.99, they are available at most supermarkets including Dis-chem and Clicks.
So far I’ve enjoyed the product, it has a really pleasant smell and nice packaging. It’s still a little early for me to decide if I like the product or not but so far so good. My hair is pretty damaged from chlorine, saltwater and sun and it has really taken its toll on the quality of my hair. I’m hoping the gentle ingredients and coconut oil will help improve the quality of my hair. I have noticed an increase in shine as well as more definition in my waves, which I love, I want my hair to be curlier. My hair routine would be to wash every morning then let it air dry with a little bit of argon oil. Some shampoos that I’ve used in make my hair oily over the long-term and leave a gross build up on my scalp, this is what I need to watch out for. The last time I used this brand that happened, to be fair that was about 7 years ago and this is a new product.
I will provide you with a more comprehensive review once I’ve been using the product for a bit long.
